Celebrating 25 years with my precious second family, the Claire’s. They are my family away from home and they’ve adopted me into their lives as one of their own. The boys get a “sister” and I get two younger baby Biebers that are pesky, like little brothers should be, yet adorably hilarious and just so FULL of life. It’s a win win. Counting all my blessings.

And yes, there’s totally a dinosaur on my cake. 25 is beautiful and I feel younger than ever, baby ;)

My oh so talented friend, Katie Schoepflin, captured precious shots of me and my love yesterday evening. I see these photographs and it takes me back to when Justin and I first started dating. I was young and 22 and now today I’m celebrating my 25th Birthday. Time flies but oh how I enjoy every year, everyday, every minute of this life and how I consciously try not not take any second for granted. God has put me in such a good place and I thank Him every day for it.

Getting all my cuddling in with Ricey poo before her and her mama move away from me. It’s a sad time but I’m excited to see what my roomie will do. She’s so beautiful and so smart. She’s really going to go out and make a difference in this world. I’ll miss living with her and I’ll forever treasure the memories we’ve created together in these last 6 months. Happy 2 year anniversary to the man of my dreams and my very best friend. Forever I am humbled by your love. I thank you for the endless amount of smiles and laughs you’ve been responsible for these last couple years! I love living this life with you by my side.

And thank you for treating me to my first experience at the Blue Bayou. It’s always been a dream of mine to dine on the other side of Pirates of the Caribbean and now I can check it off my bucket list due to your thoughtfulness and generosity! Made dinner for my love. Artichokes cooked in a white dry sherry wine in the crock pot stuffed with lemon and garlic. Add this delicious recipe to your cookbook: http://theproducemom.com/2012/03/11/crock-pot-artichokes/

For the second course I used whole wheat pasta, chopped cherry tomatoes, fresh spinach, savory chicken cooked in garlic and onion, topped with pine nuts and all mixed together with a light pesto sauce.

My sweetheart surprised me and picked me up in San Diego to take me on the most romantic Valentine’s date. Not only did he rent a hot convertible for our evening, but he surprised me and took me to Mister A’s which is a delicious 5 star restaurant with THE MOST spectacular view of the city I love. We then had dessert fondue at the melting pot in the gas lamp district. Every detail, every part of this evening was an absolute dream.

How lucky am I? I’m in love with my best friend, and that’s about as lucky in love as anyone could hope for. My sweetheart makes it so easy to be happy. There’s no one I’d rather share a life with than him.

My roomie Elle and I love any excuse to dig through our pinterest boards to throw creative and memorable parties. These are a few photos of our Christmas dinner we hosted for 12 of our closest friends. We cooked and served a gourmet full course meal, had a dessert table full of delicious holiday inspired treats, and a hot chocolate bar with all the good fixings. It was such a lovely evening!Elizabeth and I hosted a Stella & Dot Trunk Show which again was our excuse to throw a Sunday brunch for our girlfriends. Pinterest inspired us to create new breakfast creations. We served pancake skewers with strawberries and blueberries, turkey bacon wrapped egg cups, and banana bread cupcakes. Along with all the treats, we had an orange juice 3 tier flowing fountain with fresh fruit and a little bubbly. We greeted out guests with personalized champagne flutes topped with a fresh strawberry.

Love being inspired and I enjoy seeing other people’s creations, so please share!

Pinterest inspired me to create a shoe shelf :) Found this bookshelf at a thrift store for $20. Bought a couple cans of spray paint and voila! If only I had room to do a duplicate. Impressed and very happy with the way this art project turned out! It was a lot of fun creating, especially with Justin’s help!

Spontaneous Disneyland trip! Nothing is more romantic than getting all bundled up, sharing an umbrella, and walking down Main Street in the rain. All the Christmas decor was still up so we had the pleasure of enjoying the holiday season just a bit longer. So glad we got to see the fireworks show. Brings me to tears each time like clockwork. It’s so overwhelmingly beautiful and such massive production. Bravo, Disney.

Laughing our way into 2013. Double date to see comedian, Kevin Hart, at the Staples Center. A countdown with 2 of our best friends and a confetti filled arena was the perfect way to bring in the new year. 2012 was a great year but I’m ready to close that chapter and start the next.
